Peter is the owner of Gardner Development LLC, which has renovated or built well over 100 individual buildings in New Orleans since 1999. He moved to New Orleans in 1997 from Chicago to attend Tulane University and immediately fell in love with the City and its architecture. He purchased his first property in 1999 as a 20 year old and has continued to renovate and build ever since.
Some of his proudest achievements are helping contribute to the revitalization of Freret Street by co-founding both the Freret Business and Property Owners Association, as well as the Freret Market at a point when Freret street was a mostly vacant and abandoned commercial corridor.
Other exciting projects are the renovation of 3 historic commercial buildings along Oretha Castle Haley, a 10 home waterfront development along Bayou St John, dozens of blighted homes in the Irish Channel and Central City areas, and many more
Peter has been honored by the HDLC for high quality renovation projects as well as named as a top 40 under 40 by Gambit Weekly.
